PURPOSE:To record retrieving information in a punch/memo part during the carrying of an aperture card from a storing part to an output part by providing the titled machine with a reading means for reading out the retrieving information recorded in the peripheral edge of an image part on a microfilm and a recording means for punching or printing out the read information in the punch/ memo part of the aperture card. CONSTITUTION:The aperture card 30A delivered from a carrying line is sent to a reading part by carrying rolls 103 and the retrieving information recorded on the microfilm 33 is optically e.g. read out by the reading means 120. The read-out retrieving information such as a bar code is sent to the recording means 130, converted into character information to be visually read out and also converted into punch data for punching the information. The aperture card 30A is carried to a recording part and the character information 311 is printed out and punched 312 by the punch/memo part 31 of the aperture card 30A by the recording means 130. Consequently, the retrieving information is recorded in the punch/memo part 31 of the aperture card 30A as the character information 311 and punches 312.
