PURPOSE:To constitute a network excellent in responsiveness by providing a means using a polling control channel so as to always apply the transmission right and transmission reservation and a means in which a transmitter having the transmission right detects an idle data communication channel and sends a data packet frame. CONSTITUTION:The titled network consists of a data communication transmission/reception circuit section 6 fetching a data packet frame 14 addressed to its own station from a data communication channel 1 or sending the data packet frame 14 to the data communication channel 1, a carrier detection section 7 detecting the idle data communication channel 1, a transmission/ reception control section 9 sending/receiving the data packet frame 14 to/from the data communication transmission/reception circuit section 6 according to a signal from the carrier detection section 7 and a polling control section 10, a transmission line acquisition transmission/reception circuit section 8 transmitting/receiving a frame for the polling control to/from the transmission line acquisition channel 2 and the polling control section 10. Thus, the network excellent in responsiveness is constituted.
