The invention relates to the creation of an educational parlour game by the perfection of a device making it possible to identify a person or an object from a series. Its original character consists in the exploitation of details aimed at recognising subjects of the same type. The game involves the drawing-up of numerous cards which are specific to various topics. The device is characterised by a case including a lateral opening for the insertion of the cards, another above, covered with masks which are removed, as a function of chance, so as to reveal certain details of the subjects appearing on the cards. An opaque part is intended to mask the reply and the instructional details. A movable plate serves to apply the first card against the masks, regardless of the thickness of the bundle of cards.
