PURPOSE:To obtain an observing device which allows a relatively long observation time while maintaining high time resolution by connecting light emitting elements in a light emitting element group so that the output of one light emission cycle crosses a sweeping direction. CONSTITUTION:A signal to be measured is connected to the input terminal amplifier 1 included in an electric signal connecting means. The output of the amplifier 1 is connected to a changeover switch 2. The switch 2 is driven by a switch control circuit 3 for switching and returns the amplified signal to respective diodes D1, D2...Dn of a laser diode array 4 forming the light emitting element group in order. The diodes D1, D2...Dn of this diodes array 4 are arrayed on a straight line, and light outputs of those diodes D1, D2...Dn are generated on the photoelectron cathode 11 of the streak tube 10 of a streak camera by a lens 5 forming a light emission connection means. In this case, an image formed by the light emission of the respective diodes arrayed on the straight line is formed preferably formed in a slit shape on the photoelectron cathode 11.
