PURPOSE:To separate inclusion in molten steel in tundish for continuous casting into two parts by the partition wall, pouring the molten steel in the one side from a ladle, blowing insert gas and also raising the bubble of inert gas from the bottom part at the downstream side going over the partition wall. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel 1 in the ladle 2 is poured into a continuously casting mold 9 through the tundish 4 by a submerged nozzle 8 to produce a continuously cast slab. The partition wall 5 in the tundish 4 is arranged to divide into two parts, and the inert gas is blown by a lance 6 in the range of pouring the molten steel 1 by a long nozzle 3 from the ladle 2 at 300-1000 l/min to forcedly stir the molten steel, and the contained non-metallic inclusion is separated by floating up, to remove by absorbing in the flux on the molten steel surface. A little quantity of remained inclusion is caught by bubbles of inert gas raising up from a porous refractory arranged at the bottom part in the range, which it is flowed over the partition wall 5 and floated up and removed by separating. Thus, clean molten steel is supplied into the continuously casting mold 9 by the submerged nozzle 8, to draw continuously the cast slab having high quality.
