PURPOSE:To obtain good positive electrostatic chargeability and excellent moisture resistance by incorporating fine inorg. particles of which the surfaces are treated by a silicone compd. and are further treated by an amino compd. into a titled developer. CONSTITUTION:The fine inorg. particles of which the surfaces are coated by the silicone compd. and are further treated by the amino compd. are incorporated into the electrostatic developer. More specifically, the surfaces of the fine inorg. particles are treated by the silicone compd., by which the silicone compd. is bonded to the hydrophilic site and negative electrostatically chargeable site on the surface of the fine inorg. particles and is securely held to the surfaces. The surfaces of such fine inorg. particles are further treated by the amino compd., by which the positive electrostatic chargeability is imparted to the fine inorg. particles. The developer which stably exhibits the positive electrostatic chargeability by the fine inorg. particles even under high humidity environmental conditions and has the excellent positive electrostatic chargeability is thus obtd. |
