The resistor heating element 1 which is stamped from a metal sheet comprises two series S of substantially parallel, spaced metal strips 2 which are connected electrically in series between two rows R of tabs 3, also metal, spaced apart in a substantially parallel manner and each fixed to a flat support 5 of electrically insulating material so as to form a zigzag electrical conductor 4. The supports 5 are intended to be arranged in the enclosure of an electric radiator parallel to the air flow established by convection in this enclosure. The length of each metal strip 2 connecting two substantially opposing tabs 3a, 3b is greater than the distance separating these two tabs and the surface of these metal strips 2 is substantially perpendicular to the surface of the insulating support 5.
