PURPOSE:To obtain an improved strength as designed all the time by a method in which a powdery improving agent is downwardly injected under pressure into the ground from the tip of a casing pipe and forcibly agitated with soil from below to above. CONSTITUTION:A casing pipe unit 5 is penetrated into the ground 3 and pulled up after excavating the ground to a given depth. During the period, quick lime 8 in an outer tube 11 is forcibly discharged and injected under pressure into soil of the ground 3. The lime 8 and the soil are forcibly mixed with stirring to form a mixture 9, and the mixture 9 is put into solidifying reaction processes with time. The designing and execution of ground improvement work can thus be exactly and quantitatively attained.
