PURPOSE:To distribute signatures by leaving a space between the preceding page and next page signatures by means of a timing roll having a little faster peripheral speed than a bank-bill speed and wedging alternately a pair of right and left separation-plates of a separator into this space. CONSTITUTION:A space is left between the trailing edge 65a of the preceding page signature 65 and the leading edge 64a of the next page signature 64 of the signatures sent between guide-belts 31, 32 by means of a timing driven at a little faster peripheral speed than a bank-bill-transfer-speed. Alternate wedging is done through the separation claws 41a, 41b or 42a, 42b of the separation plates 41, 42 of a separator 40 revolving respectively right or left into this space. By this, signatures being sent between guide belts 31, 32 are distributed alternately right and left by means of separation plates 41, 42 and are carried in an A direction or B direction. Accordingly, a gripper is not used, so a structure becomes simple, and a high speed can be achieved. |
