PURPOSE:To transfer a data to an opposite party as soon as possible by applying transfer after the data transfer command is processed on one condition that data are occupied in a buffer area. CONSTITUTION:Data in the unit of one character from a line is received by a line processing section 5 and stored in a buffer area 1-1 when the buffer area 1-0 is occupied. A timer management section 6 informs it to a command processing section 4 when a time of notice to a host elapses. In receiving a reception command from the host, the command processing section 4 commands the buffer changeover to the line processing section 5 and transfer the contents of the buffer 1-0 to the host 3. If not reception command is received from the host, the display of host time elapse is set and a transmission request is given to the host to await the reception command from the host. The data from the line is not stored consecutively in the buffer area 1-0 during this period.
