PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic plate for carburetion which is prevented from generating a crack even when a thermal impact cycle is exerted thereon and has excellent fuel absorptivity and excellent ignitability, by a method wherein the ceramic plate is formed by a cordierite sintered body having a specified porosity, an average pore size, and a heat resistant impact temperature difference. CONSTITUTION:A cordierite ceramic has an absorption coefficient of as high as approximately 30% or more and is a material having excellent absorptivity, and a heat resistant impact temperature difference is approximately 900 deg.C or more and eminently higher than that of alumina. Thus, a cordierite ceramic sintered body as a carbureter has the porosity of 30-50%, an average pore size of 45-150mum, and a heat resistance impact temperature difference of 500 deg.C or more, and is a disk-shaped sintered body 5a having a number of pores P.... In order to manufacture the cordierite ceramic sintered body, a given amount of a poring agent with a specified grain size may be added. |
