PURPOSE:To realize the high productivity by adopting an easy-to wire structure by a method wherein an LED chip is constructed in such a way that at least one part of a light-emitting face electrode is exposed and that a wiring electrode on a substrate is arranged face to face with the light-emitting face electrode so as to connect these electrodes directly. CONSTITUTION:A light-emitting face electrode 10c formed at the contact face between a p-region 10a and an n-region 10b, a light-emitting face electrode 10d, a rear electrode 10e and a V-shaped light-emitting separation groove 10f are formed at an LED 10. At this LED chip 10 the light-emitting face electrode 10d is arranged face to face with a wiring electrode 3 on a substrate 2; the exposed face of the light-emitting face electrode 10d is connected directly to the wiring electrode 3 on the substrate 2 by means of, e.g., an electric-conductive adhesive agent, an eutectic means or the like. Accordingly, the light-emitting face electrode 10d which has been connected directly to the wiring electrode 3 is connected to a driver. When more than one LED chip 10 is arranged, rear electrodes 10e are connected to each other by means of a wire 6 and are connected to the wiring electrode 3 at both ends of the LED chip 10. |
