PURPOSE:To simultaneously use plural channels by answering automatically through one channel in case a call comes in through said channel while the other channel is under speaking. CONSTITUTION:During the time when a telephone set A301 is communicating with a telephone set B302 by using the A-signal channel, if there is an incoming call from a telephone set C303 the telephone set A301, the telephone set A301 receives the call from the telephone set C303 through B-signal channel. In case a user does not want to stop the speech through the telephone set B302, an automatic answering device operates against the telephone set C303. A B-signal channel transmission/reception part 4 and an automatic answering circuit part 7 are connected with each other by a switch circuit part B16, and a message stored in a message memory part 9 is transmitted by the part 7 to the telephone set C303 through the transmission/reception part 4, and thus the automatic answering is started. In such a way, signals through two or more channels can be treated simultaneously.
