PURPOSE:To obtain images with high quality and enable high-speed recording, by a construction wherein a power line for connecting a power supplying part to an electro-thermal converter is provided with a low-impedance wiring member having a three-layer construction comprising an insulator layer between conductor layers, separately from a line for conducting a recording signal. CONSTITUTION:Seven ink jet recording heads 1 are disposed on each side of a substrate 7 having a high degree of surface parallelism, over the entire recording region. An interface circuit part 3 and a power supplying part 2 are disposed correspondingly to the head 1 located at a substantially central part in the width direction, and a signal line wiring member 8 and a power line wiring member 9 are arranged in a T-shaped pattern so that the differences in the impedance of the wiring parts between the heads 1 are minimized. As a result, the impedance of the wiring parts and the induction noise generated by a large- current switching at the time of driving can be reduced, and voltage drops generated between the heads 1 can also be reduced. Therefore, operation is stabilized, and high-quality recording can be achieved. |
