PURPOSE:To carry out at a time the oil tightness test of partitioning plate and oil leak test of transformer body by comprising a transformer body, partitioning plates and elephant through the packings, supplying insulation oil into the transformer body and elephant, then applying pressurized gas and then detecting oil leak. CONSTITUTION:An elephant partitioning plate 5 is built into a transformer body 10, an insulation oil 9 is supplied to the transformer body 10 and elephant 11 from the oil supply ports 17, 18, the nitrogen gas of bomb 19 is supplied under the specified pressure from the gas supply port 12 and it is checked whether oil leak from packing 13 is detected or not. The packing 13 is provided with a bole 14 to communicate the external portion and packings 6, 7. Therefore, oil pressure test can be carried out simultaneously to the packings 6, 7 of the transformer body 10 and partitioning plate 5 by detection of oil leak from such hole 14. After the oil leak test, a round rod 15 is inserted into the hole 14 and padding is completed by the welding 16.
