PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the quality of cream solder by kneading solder powder with a flux consisting of a 1st gel-like flux contg. rosin hardly soluble in org. solvents and activator and 2nd sol-like flux essentially consisting of rosin easily soluble in org. solvents. CONSTITUTION:The 1st gel-like flux is composed of the rosin (hardly soluble in solvents), org. solvent and activator (n-butyl amine hydro chloride, etc.). The 2nd sol-like flux is composed of the rosin (easily soluble in solvents), org. solvent and thixo agent bydrogenated castor oil, etc.). The 1st gel-like flux and the 2nd sol-like flux are mixed and stirred. Eutectic solder particles (tin and 38% lead, etc.) is added to the mixed and stirred soln. and the liquid is kneaded with a kneading machine to form the cream solder. Printability by a stainless steel mask etc., and solderability are improved and the reliability of connection is improved by using such solder.
