PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate measurement, by pinching a radioactive member securely at a specified position with a gripper to enable accurate positioning. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is made up of a corrosion detector 8 with a corrosion sensor 15 and a support rod 7 to support the device 8. The device 8 comprises a gripper 13 to pinch a member to be measured securely and a pressing device 14 to press a detecting end of a sensor 15 tight on the surface of the member being measured gripped under a fixed pressure. The device 8 is moved and set at a specified position of the member being measured together with the support rod 17, where the device 13 is operated under a remote control by a worker to pinch the member being measured securely. Hence, accurate and stable positioning is accomplished, which prevents oscillation after the fixing of the member. Moreover, with the action of the device 14, measuring conditions of the detecting end of the sensor 15 is always maintained constantly by pressing the detecting end of the sensor 15 tight on the surface of the member being measured fixed at the specified position with the device 13, thereby enabling the measuring of a corrosion state quickly at a high accuracy.
