PURPOSE:To eliminate an external storage means and to expand a hash file through a simple operation in a short time by carrying out rehash development with the aid of the expansion file at the end of the expansion of an internal storage means. CONSTITUTION:A calculating means 2 calculates sales data inputted from a data input means 1 by types, and obtains type-by-type data. It is transmitted and stored in a storage means 3. In that case the means 3 stores said sales data in an area at an address which an address specification means 4 obtains through hash operations based on specification data from the data input means 1. If the storage area of the storage means 3 is expanded, the address specification means 4 executes re-hash operations under the control of a storage control means 5, obtains an address, specifies the storage means 3 by the address and again records the sales data corresponding to the specification.
