PURPOSE:To prevent shift in printing positions on leaves from being generated at the time of automatical issuing of a new passbook, by providing a driving means capable of adjusting the feed quantity of a roller brought into contact with a leaf, and a controlling means for controlling the driving of the driving means and the adjustment of the feed quantity. CONSTITUTION:After a page-turning treatment, a passbook 2 is fed in the direction of an arrow by feeding rollers 15a, 15b for printing unentered data on a leaf 2b at a printing part 4. The rollers 15a, 15b are rotated by the same feed quantity by stepping motors 16, 18 controlled by controlling parts 20, 21, respectively. When the leading end of the passbook 2 is detected by a sensor 22, a controlling part 20 switches control over the motor 16 so as to drive the roller 15a by a feed quantity slightly greater than that for the roller 15b. As a result, the roller 15a feeds the leaf 2b of the passbook 2 slightly faster than a cover 2a of the passbook, thereby following the movement of the leaf 2b being delayed, with a swell S, behind the cover 2a. When the passbook is fed to a predetermined printing position on the basis of the timing of detection by the sensor 22, the leaf 26 is devoid of the positional shift l, and is faced to a printing head 5. |
