PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of an automatic storehouse or a multi-station conveyer line by changing the direction of a pallet carried by a main line with a traveling line changing device of a very simple mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In case of transferring a pallet G on a main line A onto a sub- line B, the pallet G is brought into contact with a stop plate 15 projected above the main line A, and a support table 10 erected on the pallet G is stopped on balls 12 of rolling stands 11 forming a direction changing mechanism C disposed at a crossing portion of the main line A and the sub-line B. When a limit switch detects that the pallet G contacts the stop plate 15, a pressure cylinder F is operated to push out the pallet G onto the sub-line B, and the pallet G is moved along the sub-line B as it is. When the pressure cylinder F operates, an elevating cylinder 14 is returned so that the stop plate 15 is lowered below the main line A. When the pressure cylinder F is operated by a fixed stroke, the limit switch is operated to automatically return the cylinder. |
