PURPOSE:To prevent smoking of an ignition plug, by a method wherein an ignition plug is situated to each of two lines branched from the one end side of the secondary coil of an ignition coil, and a series cap and a diode are situated in series to the ignition plug. CONSTITUTION:An ignition coil 2 is formed with two primary coils 7 and 8 and one secondary coil 9, the positive pole of a battery 1 is connected to the middle between the primary coil 7 and 8, and the other ends of the primary coils 7 and 8 are earthed through transistor 10 and 11, respectively. By controlling the transistor 10 and 11 so that the primary coils 7 and 8 are charged alternately with a current, secondary voltage in a reverse direction is generated to the secondary coil 9. The one end side of the secondary coil 9 is earthed, the other end side is branched, and series cap 5 and a diode 6 are connected in series to each ignition plug 4. The diode 6 is situated between a branch part and each series cap 5, and they are disposed in a reverse direction to each other.
