PURPOSE:To easily obtain fine particles of high-purity calcium phosphate without giving rise to troubles such as precipitation and solidification by allowing a soln. obtained by dissolving Ca(OH)2 in an aq. soln. contg. sugars, sugar-alcohols, or polyhydric alcohols to react with phosphoric acid. CONSTITUTION:Water is added to >=1 kind among sugars, sugar-alcohols, and polyhydric alcohols such as glucose, fructose, galactose, maltose, saccharose, mannose, sorbose, ribose, xylose, arabinose, lactose, sorbitol, mannitol, glycerin, and erythritol to prepare 10wt% aq. soln., and Ca(OH)2 or CaO is charged into the soln. to obtain a Ca(OH)2 soln. with increased solubility. Phosphoric acid diluted, as required, with water to an appropriate concn. is added to the soln. to obtain the Ca/P ratio corresponding to the composition of the desired product and allowed to react with the above-mentioned components, and the fine particles of the desired high-purity calcium phosphate such as hydroxyapatite, fluorapatite, calcium tertiary phosphate, etc., are obtained.
