PURPOSE:To improve the clearness of a character engraving by forming a bulging part at one part side of the nozzle aperture of a gas injection device and to rotate a nozzle so that the bulging side thereof may come at the rear side in the nozzle moving direction at all times. CONSTITUTION:A bulging part 15 is formed by notching the one part side face of the nozzle aperture of a gas injection device and a servomotor 14 is linked via a driving gear 13 to the gear 12 on the outer periphery of a nozzle supporting plate 5 as well. A working groove is formed by moving a nozzle 7 along the character shape for engraving on the body 30 to be worked via a circular arcuate interpolation by an NC device. In this case the servomotor 14 is rotated so that the bulging part 15 of the nozzle aperture 10 may come at the rear side in the nozzle moving direction always via gears 13, 12. The gas injection amount at the rear side having the bulging part 15 is more than that at the front side, so the melting body is scattered to the front part or side part. The back filling of the melting body at the rear part of the working groove is prevented and the clearness in the character engraving is improved. |
