The invention relates to a tooth support for tool-grinding machines, comprising an extension arm which is adjustably fixed to the machine and has a clamping device arranged at its free end and intended for clamping a supporting finger or the like. The extension arm is divided in a dividing plane lying at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the extension arm, the two parts of the extension arm being connected to one another so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis perpendicular to the dividing plane and so as to be lockable in this pivoted position. Additionally, the supporting finger is constructed such that an end piece which is fixed to the supporting finger can be pivoted with respect to the supporting finger by at least 90@ out of its longitudinal axis. The combination of these two measures produces a compact and stable supporting-finger arrangement with few individual parts. <IMAGE>
