PURPOSE:To shorten trouble detection time by comparing a check code with an internal check code and reporting trouble detection if they do not coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:The check code is generated by a check code generating circuit 5 in the side of a master 100 in accordance with the contents of data on a C bus signal line 30 and is sent to a checker 200 through an output driver 9. Though the check code is generated by a check code generating circuit 105, this check code is not transmitted since the check mode is set and the enable signal of an output driver is disabled. The check code generated by the check code generating circuit 105 is sent to a comparator 106 together with the check code inputted to the checker 200 from the master side 100 through an input receiver 108, and both check codes are compared with each other. If they do not coincide with each other as the result of comparison, an error output signal on a signal line 107 is set.
