PURPOSE:To attain the setting of a long time in a short setting time by making an incremented/decremented count number different depending whether the operation of an up/down-switch is in the state of one-shot or consecutive operation. CONSTITUTION:In setting a timer to the time setting mode, the control mode of time setting is started and whether or not an up-switch 1 (or down-switch 2) is in operation is discriminated. In applying the operation, whether the operation is in one-shot or consecutive operation is discriminated succeedingly and in case of one-shot operation, the setting time of a timer is increased by one minute for the unit time and the operation of the up-switch is confirmed. In case of the consecutive operation, after the setting time is increased for plural unit times (in this case, 5min) to confirm the operation of the up-switch. That is, the inceased/decreased count is made different depending whether the switch 1 or 2 is in the oneshot or consecutive operation, and in case of the consecutive operation, the count increased/decreased at a time is increased to attain time setting within a short time.
