PURPOSE:To improve the gripping force at the time of braking and obtain the adequate gripping force against a side slip by forming the plane outer shape of a nonskid body into a near Y-shape in a nonskid device for a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The plane outer shape of a nonskid body 1 is formed into a near Y-shape. Y-shaped shear-leg pieces 3, 3 are connected to a rope 5, and base pieces 2 are connected to a chain 6 respectively to constitute a nonskid device. In this constitution, a force is applied to the Y-shaped nonskid bodies 1 from the side at the time of braking, and mainly the side ends of the base pieces 2 and shear-leg pieces 3 resist against the road surface. Therefore, the high gripping performance appears. On the other hand, a force is applied in the vertical direction of the nonskid bodies 1 at the time of a side slip, and the shear-leg pieces 3 resist against the road surface. Accordingly, the gripping performance against a side slip becomes adequate, and driving stability is improved.
