An arrangement for measuring the movement of ferromagnetic parts is described. The ferromagnetic part which is to be measured in this case moves in the field of a permanent magnet. Voltage pulses are induced in a coil, which is fitted in the vicinity, by the magnetisation of the ferromagnetic part, which magnetisation occurs suddenly. These pulses are then counted as a measure of the movement.
