Circuit arrangement for telecommunications systems, in particular telephone switching systems, in which switching operations are statistically evaluated. A selection device which takes random samples of switching operations and which causes data recording devices statistically to monitor specific data from these samples and forward them to an evaluation device is controlled by the respective data recording device in terms of the density of the succession of the switching operations involved in the random sample selection. The respective time interval in each case between one switching operation selected from all the switching operations and an immediately following switching operation to be selected is signalled by the data recording device with reference to the time interval between the first and last monitored data of the switching operation concerned, plus the selection device time period required to forward said data to one of the selection devices. <IMAGE>
