Floor heating systems comprising pipes (5) are laid with the aid of mounting plates (1). They are composed of a bottom base plate (9) which consists of foam and exhibits cylindrical studs (3) on the upper side, and of a moulded plate (8) which is located thereabove, consists of plastic sheeting and bears closed pots (4) on the upper side. In this arrangement, the studs (3) of the base plate come to be located in the pots (4) of the moulded plate. The disadvantage with this type of construction is the very considerable overall height. The object of the invention is to produce a mounting plate having a low overall height, using pipes with small external diameter. The object is achieved by using pipes (5) of small diameter and by pots (4) which project directly from the plane of the moulded plate (8) and have an external diameter which is from one to two times the pipe diameter used. This type of floor heating system is possible in residential buildings, office areas, storage areas, workshops and laboratories. <IMAGE>
