PURPOSE:To make correction of scattering rays by collecting the data on a ray source with respect to a state where there is a scattering body around said source and a state where there is no scattering body around the same and the ray source is distributed even on the outside of a slice plane, then determining a filter function for correcting the scattering ray. CONSTITUTION:The linear ray source is perpendicularly disposed in the sectional layer plane defined by an annular slice shield 2 in said shield 2. Data collection concerning the sectional layer plane shown by an arrow is executed in this state and the resultant sinogram is subjected to Fourier transform. A phantom 6 having the scattering body 4 around the ray source 3 and an RI part 5 on the rear surface side is disposed. Part of the radiations released from the ray source 3 are scattered by the scattering body 4 if the data collection concerning the sectional layer plane shown by the arrow of the phantom 6 is executed. Blurring is, therefore, added to the data. The data after the Fourier transform of the resultant sinogram is, consequently, increased in the low frequency component. The ratio of the data after the Fourier transform is obtd. and the data correction is made, by which the filter function for correcting the scattering rays is formed.
