Method and device for monitoring the human heart

Monitoring of the heart of patients at risk of an infarction can be performed by means of portable monitoring devices. In general, these are expensive and moreover require specialist knowledge as regards evaluation of electrocardiograms. A simple monitoring device, that can be easily carried along and permits continuous monitoring even by laymen and without the aid of third parties, comprises a three-point electrode fixable on the body and a computerized signal transmitter which is connected to the electrode and emits an optical signal in the event of coronary blood flow disturbances and an additional acoustic signal in the event of a myocardial infarction.
