Until now, sheet-metal nuts that protruded beyond the outer contour of the fan housing and insert nuts have been used to fasten fans. Both of these fasteners are not universally applicable, or are too expensive. The fastener according to the invention is a U-shaped yoke (1) whose legs (2, 3) each have an opening (4, 5) whose width corresponds to the core diameter of the fastening screws used. This yoke (1) is made of strip material as an inexpensive mass-produced item, and can be used universally, for example in fans that have flanges on the intake and discharge sides. <IMAGE>
