The interior suspension/support structure for inflatable items such as mattresses, pillows, rubber boats, lifejackets, etc., is mfd. by the attaching a pair of synthetic material sheets to the inner surfaces of the sheets of the inflatable body of the same double-layer construction, in such a way as to form suspended loops. These loops are then joined together by stitching and serve to prevent unwanted expansion of the inflatable body when inflated.
