PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative stand for standing flag with which decorations of better decorative and aesthetic characteristics of various kinds of flags in a room can be easily carried out and which can be made to have a constitution convenient for transporting and housing. SOLUTION: This decorative stand consists of a supporting base section 10 which consists of upper and lower supporting plates 12 and 14 expandably and foldably formed by coupling these plates at one end with opening/closing sections 16a and 16b and a supporting rod 20 which is inserted to part of the upper and lower supporting plates of the supporting base section so as to be detained to the lower supporting plate. A part of the expanding upper supporting plate 12 of the supporting base section is pierced with an insertion hole 17 to be inserted with the supporting rod and part of the supporting rod is provided with a retaining part 25a so that the upper supporting plate is retained to the supporting rod in the state of inserting the supporting rod into the insertion hole.
