PURPOSE: A lead frame and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify manufacturing processes and to shorten processing time by using clad metal on an inner and outer lead instead of lead and silver plating. CONSTITUTION: A paddle(11) is formed inside an inner lead part(10). The paddle(11) is surrounded by a plurality of inner leads(12a) and spaced apart from the inner leads(12a). A plurality of dam bars(12b) are formed at both sidewalls of the inner leads(12a) so as to support the inner leads(12a). A plurality of outer leads(12c) are extended from the inner leads(12a) through the dam bars(12b). A pair of tie bars(11a) are formed at both sides of the dam bars(12b) in order to support the dam bars(12b). A silver clad metal(20) is attached on the inner lead(12a), while a lead clad metal(21) is attached on the outer lead(12c).
