<p>PURPOSE:To easily obtain a large-sized LED array head having a desired length, by disposing a substrate provided with a plurality of LED chips arranged in a line, on a mount plate. CONSTITUTION:When LED chips 22, 22a are driven by driving chips to emit light, beams of light thus emitted are condensed by respective condensing rod lenses 4, 4a, before being projected on a photosensitive drum 3. Namely, the light emitted from one LED array 23 is projected slantly downward while the light emitted from the other LED array 23a is projected slantly upward, at the same angle of inclination, and the beams of light are focused on a single continuous line on the drum 3 through the rod lenses 4, 4a. Accordingly, a large-sized LED array head having a desired length can be provided simply by adhering LED array heads to a mount plate having diagonal slant surface parts.</p> |
