PURPOSE:To reduce a fuel injection rate and reduce the fuel consumption rate by a method wherein a non-return valve, provided with a suck-back mechanism at the inlet part of the valve main body, is provided in the fuel injection valve for an internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:The non-return valve 16, provided with the suck-back mechanism, is attached to the inlet part 4 of the fuel injection valve main body 1. When the pressure of the fuel oil becomes higher than the valve opening pressure of the non-return valve 16, the valve 16 is opened and the fuel oil is sent into a nozzle chamber 7 through fuel oil paths 19, 24, 5, 6. During a period until seating of the valve body 22, the fuel in the fuel oil path and a hollow part between the valve body 22 and the needle valve 14 of a nozzle is expanded and the pressure in the nozzle chamber 7 is reduced suddenly by the effect of the suck- back. Thus, the fuel injection rate upon seating of the nozzle needle valve 14 is reduced and the fuel consumption rate may be reduced. |
