An oil filter used in a vehicle is provided to assemble and to disassemble easily by providing female threads on an inner circumference of a plastic cap and mating male threads on an end extended from a center pipe. In an oil filter consisting a housing, a plastic cap(12) attached to top end of the housing, a filter element contained in a space between the cap and the housing, and a center pipe(16) fit into a hole of the filter element(14), female threads on inner surface of the plastic cap are fastened to male threads on outer surface of an end(20) extended from the center pipe.
