PURPOSE:To reinforce fixation by reflecting laser light by the top surface of a fitting plate where a holding member is mounted and irradiating the gap between the lower part of an optical fiber assembly and the axial hole of the holding member, and welding the optical fiber assembly to the holding member with the laser light. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber assembly 1 is fitted in the axial hole 6A of the holding member 6 and an end part of an assembly holder 5 is gripped by a chuck hand 9, etc.; and a jogging table is operated to adjust the height, right-left position, and upper-lower, and right-left inclinations of the optical fiber assembly 1 and then an auxiliary fitting plate 8 is slid on the top surface of the fitting plate 7 and inserted into the gap between the holding plate 6 and fitting plate 7 to bring a specular surface 15 into contact with the reverse surface of the holding member 6. In this state, plural points P on the lower peripheral edge of the holding member 6, the top surface of the auxiliary fitting plate 8, the lower peripheral edge of the auxiliary fitting plate 8, and the top surface of the fitting plate 7 are irradiated with the laser light 10 for welding, thereby fixing the holding member 6 and auxiliary fitting plate 8, and auxiliary fitting plate 8 and fitting plate 7 mutually. Consequently, the weld zones are not destroyed owing to vibrations, a shock, environmental variation, etc., and the degree of the fixation is improved. |
