PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a laser unit, the apparatus in which when a vibration reducing means 61 for reducing vibration transmitted to the laser unit 71 by elastically holding the unit 71 is provided, the frequency band of vibration that is reducible by the vibration reducing means 61 is made as wide as possible to a low frequency side, thereby even if transporting speed of an image forming medium (paper)is slowed down, a person does not feel irregularity of an image formed in the image forming medium. SOLUTION: The vibration reducing means 61 is constituted of more than one kind of vibration reducing members 62, 63 which are laminated on each other in the direction holding the laser unit 71. These vibration reducing members 62, 63 are composed of a plurality of kinds of rubber members having a mutually different spring constant in the direction holding the laser unit 71.
