PURPOSE:To prevent misoperation by displaying a message which indicates a request to press a tab key or carriage return key in response to the depression of a centering indication key. CONSTITUTION:When the centering specification key CNTR is pressed, message data 'PRESS TAB/RETURN' which requests the depression of the tab key TAB or return key RETURN is stored in an area DISP of a RAM. Then while the display data in the storage area DISP is displayed on a display device DIS, a control loop for waiting the tab or return key to be pressed is executed. Consequently, a user can confirms that the centering specification key is securely hit and what key is to be pressed next is indicated on the displayed, so misoperation is precluded and even a user who uses the centering function can makes a centering print. |
