The invention relates to an arrangement for the releasable fastening of ceiling panels of a suspended ceiling, which panels can be suspended from beneath, via metallic securing panels, in a downwardly open clamping profile. In particular in order to reduce the weight of said arrangement, the invention provides that the ceiling panels (1) consisting of a non-metallic material are borne by profile strips (4, 12) which are inserted on the end sides approximately halfway up, and the profile strips can be inserted into the clamping profile (10) via vertical profile extensions (7, 15) which are provided with projecting latching studs (9, 16). <IMAGE>
