PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material superior in storage stability of a color image and adapted to rapid processing by incorporating a dye-forming coupler and a silver halide grains containing silver chloride in an amount of >=90mol% and a gold compound, and further, a specified compound in at least one of silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the silver halide emulsion layers formed on the support in the silver halide photographic sensitive material contains the dye-forming coupler dispersed in a high-boiling organic solvent having a dielectric constant of <=6.0, and the photosensitive silver halide grains containing silver chloride in an amount of >=90mol% and the gold compound and, further, the compounds represented by formula I in which Z is an atomic group necessary to form a benzotriazole ring or 1,2,3,4-thiatriazole ring. The dye-forming couplers are used in the emulsion layers of the photosensitive material, and it is preferred for each coupler to have a ballasting group having >=8C for rendering the coupler nondiffusive in the molecule. |
