<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of display pictures, to omit an indicator or the like to be used only for support and to improve manuevarability by displaying picture information relating to supporting information so as to superpose the information to an input picture on a display. CONSTITUTION:When an operator operates a cursor 6 on a display screen by using a keyboard, and after setting up the cursor 6 on a data reader 3 for 'station name', operates an intra-screen data reader 7, data (X, Y) relating to the current position of the cursor 6 are read out and a supporting information number '1' satisfying the conditions of SX<=X<=EX and SY=Y is retrieved from a temporary data storing device 4. The supporting information corresponding to the number '1', i.e. information relating to the 'station name', is extracted from a supporting information storing device 5 and superposedly displayed on the picture information 2 previously constituting the input picture to constitute new picture information 2'.</p> |
