In the production of moulded articles from compositions crosslinkable to form organopolysiloxane elastomers by compression moulding, transfer moulding, injection moulding or extrusion, the surface, which comes into contact with the compositions to be crosslinked, of the parts, effecting the final shaping of the compositions, of the devices used for the compression moulding, transfer moulding, injection moulding or extrusion is made of hard metal.
