The appliance is for relieving the strain on a person's back when performing work which involves bending down. The appliance consists of two resilient rods (4) which are connected to each other by three wide textile straps (1,2,3), with the upper end of each rod attached to a loop (7) which fits over the shoulder. The upper strap (1) fits across the wearer's chest, the middle strap (2) fits around the hips, whilst the lower strap (3) fits over the thighs. USE/ADVANTAGE - When the wearer bends down the resilient rods support the upper part of the body and relieve the strain on the back.
