<p>A device for cutting continuous rods of smoking products, in which a rotary cutting head is provided with a radial blade inclined with respect to the axis of rotation of the head, the blade being sharpened, upon each rotation of the head, by a frusto-conical grinding wheel carried eccentrically by a sharpening head rotatable about an axis substantially perpendicular to that of the blade carrier head, the radial position of the grinding wheel on the associated wheel-carrier head being adjustable together with the position of a counter weight, and the grinding wheel being carried into rotation about its axis by means of an air motor.</p> |
