<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a large reduction gear ratio in a rear wheel steering system by installing a reduction gear mechanism between a rotary input shaft and a rotary output shaft arranged in parallel with the rotary input shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering mechanism consists of a rotary input shaft 16, rotary output shaft 18, eccentric shaft 21, joint shaft 26, and the right and left tie rods and knuckle arms, etc. The rotary output shaft 18 is arranged over the rear part of the rotary input shaft 16, and the reduction mechanisms 17 and 19 for connecting the rotary input shaft 16 and the rotary output shaft 18 are installed between the both. Since the input and output shafts 16 and 18 are connected through the reduction mechanisms consisting of the first and the second gears 17 and 19, a large reduction gear ratio can be obtained.</p> |
