A wheel slip control device for motor vehicles is proposed for an internal combustion engine controlled by a throttle valve (13). A piston-cylinder arrangement (11) acts on the throttle valve (13) in the closing direction as a function of a sensor (19) detecting an incipient spinning of at least one drive wheel. The piston-cylinder arrangement (11) has a constant mechanical coupling to the throttle linkage in order to avoid any coupling process and idle travel. <IMAGE>
